Education and Training
I am a licensed clinical psychologist in California, received my doctorate in clinical psychology in 1994 from Alliant University's California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego. In 1992, I completed a two-year pre-doctoral internship at Psychological Services Center in San Diego; In 1994, I completed an APA-approved pre-doctoral internship at Capistrano by the Sea Hospital in Dana Point, California. After receiving my doctoral degree, I trained at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego completing a post-doctoral fellowship. I have been licensed to practice psychology in California since 1995, am EMDRIA-certified in EMDR Therapy, continue Advanced trainings in EMDR Therapy and Self-Psychology among many other pertinent areas (IFS, DBT, EFT). I enjoy keeping up with recent research findings and consultation with senior clinicians to offer my clients the best therapy to help them. I have worked as a licensed psychologist on Scripps Health hospitals' PET team, at Tri City Medical Center's Partial Hospital Program, and in both groups and private practices.
In my current practice, I work with adults, adolescents, seniors, couples and families. Although my clinical interests are varied, my areas of emphasis include anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, chronic health conditions, panic, divorce, grief, eating disorders, life transitions, and personal growth.
